I was getting ready to cut this strawberry when I saw the picture – red against red. The green is on the opposite side of the color wheel, providing an interesting contrast. To shoot this in focus, I got on the other side of my kitchen pass-through, stood on a chair and zoomed in very tight with my Sony 70-300 telephoto lens. Shutter speed 1/13; f-stop 5.6.

Red on Red

Apple Cart
I have been challenged to take one(1) photo per day this spring, as a way to spark new creativity in myself. I even have an accountability person who encourages me and keeps me on task. If a shot is blog-worthy, it will be added to this photo blog. I took this picture at the neighborhood grocery. I love the way the red apples sparkle! This pict was taken with my Sony Alpha 100 and Sony 70-300 telephoto lens. Shutter speed 1/125; f-stop 4.5.
