Wild Angel
This is the first in a series of photos taken of an African American family known as the Halls. These images were taken in the studio. I shot each person with my Sony Alpha-100, and my Sony 70-300 Telephoto lens. I used studio lights, a Main and Key, with light modifiers. This little girl was first up; she had the wildest hair and the loveliest skin. Shudder speed 1/90; f-stop 8.0.

A Ballerina's Glance
In this photograph, the little African American girl has become a ballerina. Her wild hair is tamed, so that all can now see that her neck is long and graceful. She wears a pink leotard; she also wears a private smile, as she seeks out something that's apparently for eyes only. Shutter speed 1/90; f-stop 6.7.
